It has become an educational tool used across the United States, and 60 other countries throughout the globe. Currently it is used as cyber forum for educators to keep their students up-to-date. I have even had classes that only took place only Blackboard. Blackboard came to be by the formation of the two companies CourseInfo LLC and Blackboard LLC. It was originally a consulting firm that worked for the IMS Global learning consortium. Now Blackboard is at the forefront in online education, with its services used in e-learning, and e-commerce to create a virtual learning environment.
